Sunday morning church service from the La Porte Church of Christ,
La Porte, Colorado, with Pastor Peter J. Peters.

SERMON NOTES
"CONFESS WHAT YOU ARE IN JESUS CHRIST," is today's message title.
This is a follow-up message from Branson, Missouri, Memorial Day gathering.
WARNING: It’s truth, but it’s dangerous truth. This message is for those that are in the Body of Christ. Too many believe they are in Christ, but they are not.
If you have not followed the simple Gospel teaching for salvation
contained in Acts 2:38, then you are not in the Body of Christ.
1 Peter 3:21, "Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you-- not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience-- through the resurrection of Jesus Christ."

Announcements

Jesus is coming very soon.

Last week, we had the preacher's former secretary visiting church as a special guest.
She was going to give an offering, but she didn’t know where the offering box was.
Our offering box is: La Porte Church of Christ, P.O. Box 766, LaPorte, Colorado 80535

The law of giving.
1 Corinthians 9:9-12, "For it is written in the Law of Moses, "YOU SHALL NOT MUZZLE THE OX WHILE HE IS THRESHING." God is not concerned about oxen, is He? Or is He speaking altogether for our sake? Yes, for our sake it was written, because the plowman ought to plow in hope, and the thresher to thresh in hope of sharing the crops. If we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we reap material things from you? If others share the right over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we did not use this right, but we endure all things so that we will cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ."
The preacher vowed to be a preacher and not a beggar of funds.

Mail reading from the Mailroom.
A man was involved in a seven year Bible study.
Get the people to read the Bible and they will come out of the judeo-Christian churches.
“It is impossible to enslave mentally or socially a Bible-reading people. The principles of the Bible are the groundwork of human freedom.” --Horace Greely.
www.anotheruntoldstory.com is bringing people into the ministry.
772 side effects in girls who have received "GARDESIL" vaccinations. Death for some.
Over 2000 girls in the UK have come down with horrible complications from this vaccine.
“I was reading from my Bible and what the church was teaching didn’t match up.”
“You don’t get into heaven by ignorance.” There is no, "Idiot Hole," provision.
“For your information they had a concern on ABC about girl’s being vaccinated for cervical cancer.” Don’t take their vaccinations.

SERMON NOTES
Warning: This is Truth, but a very dangerous truth to claim for many.
Dirty bird Amalekites behind the pulpits, promote their "Sinner's Prayer" fraud.
Strength and endurance and ability and capacity to serve the Lord.
When you are not in Christ, you will believe a lie.
Read in your Bible how to get into Christ:
Romans 6:2, "Baptized into Christ Jesus.....into His death."
1 Corinthians 12:13 as a second witness. "Baptized into one body....one spirit."
Galatians 3:26-27, “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus…”
"I am a son of God, I am a child of God." say this, as you are clothed in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature…” "behold new things have come."
Those things come through your confession.

"CONFESS WHAT YOU ARE IN JESUS CHRIST," is today's message title.
Ephesians 4. “Equipping the saints for service.”
This was revealed at the Branson gathering: New from the spiritual warfare arsenal,
your own personal: “I Am Confessional.”
It works and it works for you real well. Read it at the website, and order a hardcopy from the ministry.
The preacher didn't know what to preach today.
He pulled out the, "I am confessional," and when he was done making his "I am" confessions, he felt better.
He will send you one, if you write and ask for it.
Ask for the "I am confessional" and support the ministry, as freebies just don't work.
Or you can read it at website, www.scripturesforamerica.org.
Get the hard copy, with blank pages to write in your own "I am confessions."
On the Confessional, you can add your own "I Am" confessions.

Jesus Christ is the High Priest of confessions.
Scripture: “Consider Jesus the high priest of our confession.”
"Of our confession," everybody say this.
1 John 1:8-10 “If we say that we have no sin, ...the truth is not in us...we are deceiving ourselves…”
We means the church, Christians, the Body of Christ, where He is the Head.
Making positive affirmations, as these things are spoken into existence.
Everything you see is the result of what was spoken. Everything. The great I Am said, “Let there be!”
Scripture: “Let your nay be nay and your yea be yea.”
Words have power. The spoken word has power.
Isaiah 55:11, "So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it."
Curses come from words.
"Oh, give me ten pounds of your skinny and I'll give you ten pounds of my fat." as this woman has received a curse, and then they prayed to reverse the curse.

Positive affirmations are your confessions of what you are in Christ.
Sermon summary: "Speak out loud to yourself what you are in Christ and believe it." There is the sermon. And it will be. According to the word, Everything you see around you was spoken into existence.

Page 7 from the booklet, "Confession, affirmation of a Bible truth that we have embraced. Embrace every truth that God has given
How it works:
The original Greek word that was translated to “confession” translated means saying the same thing. It’s the affirmation of what we embrace.
Paul said: “I have fought the fight of faith.” Hold on to your confession.
God will do his part. Jesus will take to the Lord and He (Jesus) will become our High Priest.
Jesus is the High Priest of our confession.
When confession is in accordance with the word of God.
Hold on to that confession.
Simply do it, and God will do His part.
He will take that confession to the Lord and He will act upon it.
Jeremiah 1:11, "Watching over My word to conform it."
Hebrews 7:25, "To make intercession for them."
The whole of scriptural truth, God's word revealed.
Hebrews 4:14 “Let us hold fast our confession.”
Say it aloud so you hear it. You believe it. Then hold on to it.
"We're Gonna Hold ON," song, used as an illustration.

An example of confession on page 20, 1 Corinthians 15:57 “I am victorious.”
Say, "I am victorious." You'll find strength in it.
The feelings you have or the word of God, which is true?
Which is true? Your feelings or the Word of God? That’s the fight of faith.
"THE BIBLE, THE DOCTOR, AND YOU," was an old sermon with an illustration.
The woman went with her feeelings.
If you go with your feelings over the truth of God’s word,
then you will lose your fight of faith.
Philippians 4:12-13.
Say, "I am able to do all things through Christ Jesus who can strengthen me."
Hold on to the confession and your feelings with begin to change.
Psalm 103:4. Say, "I am out of the pit."

When you make these confessions you will find you will be getting out of the pit.
Watch what you say when you say the words “I am,” in a sentence.
"I am loved. I am not ashamed. I am a preacher. I am having my youth renewed."

Whenever you say, "I am," watch what you say.
The list of confessions are all backed up by scripture.
Confession works either way. There is a negative side to it.
If you confess a lie, holding onto it as truth, then it comes to pass.

Exodus 3:13-14.
Our God is the Great I Am. “I am called.”
"I am answering that call."
Scripture: “Moses said behold, I am going to the sons of Israel… What is His name? I am who I am; thus you shall say to the sons of Israel.” "I am has sent you."
When we become children of God, We are, “I am's.”
Say, "I am an I am."
Romans 10:7-11.
New from the arsenal, your own I am confessional.
Salvation is far more than what a Baptist church would have you believe.
Salvation doesn’t just exist in the hereafter.
It is also in the here and now, but we need to make the confession.
We have to make the good confession that Jesus is the Son of God.
We have salvation from sin, disease, discouragement, enemies, dispare, the pit, etc.
Scripture: “The word is near you in your mouth…” "The word of faith which we are preaching."
"With the mouth he confesses resulting in salvation."
With the mouth he confesses, and that results in salvation.
Confession unto Salvation. Our Lord as the High Priest watches over us and makes it good.
The good confession is made of who Jesus Christ is before baptism.

Confession goes both ways.
"Even the rocks would cry out."
In the cartoons, like "Popeye," we see the power of the "I am," confessions.
The Bible talks about, "Brute beasts."
2 Peter 2:12, "But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not;
and shall utterly perish in their own corruption."
A wise Christian is not without his olive oil.
Illustration: Popeye vs. Brutus (Bluto) over Olive Oyl. He gets beat up pretty bad. Then he confesses: “I am that I am and I’s had all I can stands and I can stands no more.” Then things started to change. Spinach represented the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 7:11, "God is a righteous judge, And a God who has indignation every day."
"I am able to ask for more of the Holy Spirit."
He got strength and power and he was able to whip his enemy.
Jesus was the most meek, and that doesn't mean weak.
He was the most powerful on the earth.
Matthew 28:18, "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,
All power is given to me in heaven and in earth."
Proverbs 11:23, "The desire of the righteous is only good,
but the expectation of the wicked is wrath."

They have taught us to lay down and let the Brute Beasts stomp on us.
"How will you make us salty again?"
"Communism is like picturing a boot stomping on your face 24 hours a day."
Men will once again make the confession to bring back the "I am," saltiness.
Matthew 5:13, "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men."
Praise the Lord for Obama.
Praise the Lord for the Swine Flu shot.
Because that’s going to be what it takes to make the people salty again.
"I am capable of chasing a thousand."
"I am serving a God that works all things for good."
"My God will work this out for good. He has a plan for me. I am a child of God."

Sometimes it is the darkest just before dawn.
"I am serving a God that can make all things work for good."
Stand fast and hold to the word of God, and believe it and act upon it in confession.
One of the darkest moments in David’s life was just before he was crowned king.
Our adversary, the devil, will put thoughts into your mind.
Jesus said, "Get behind me satan." We must also say this.
Matthew 4:10, "Then Jesus said to him, "Get behind me, Satan! For it is written,
'You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.'"
Sometimes your thoughts are not your own thoughts.
Sometimes Satan is whispering them to you.
The Lord knows how to make you strong. He knows how to make you suffer.
"I am being confirmed, strengthened, and established."
1 Peter 5:10, "After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace,
who called you to His eternal glory in Christ,
will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.“
God will take these "I am's," and bring them to pass.
Say the "I am," truths, and then believe those truths.
Sometimes, we walk by faith and not by sight.
The Bible says David strengthened himself in the Lord.
1 Samuel 30:6, "Moreover David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God."
Gird your loins with truth.
Once you believe the truth, then that is the breastplate of righteousness.
Then you shod your feet with the preparation for the gospel of peace.

"I am victorious in Christ."
Say, "I am going to become His."
You are not an “I am,” until you are in Christ.
Repent, and be baptized, dying to your old way of life.
Trust in Him, that He knows how to live that life better than you do.
You are buried in the act of baptism.
Acts 2:38 “Be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
When you do that, you are baptized into Christ. Then you can confess the "I am's," and hold fast to the word of God, believing in the salvation that comes through confession to our High Priest, Jesus Christ.
Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, body, and strength.
"I am going to get my name in the Lamb's Book of Life."
The preacher was Spirit led to give this message today.
A man who came into the truth movement, and His name is "Fraud."
On his first Anglo-Israel message conference held, he spoke against baptism.
In Branson, at the "ROY CLARK THEATRE," the preacher started baptizing people in the pond at the front of the building. A very dignified man, in a three-piece suit, remarked that he didn't have another set of clothes to wear. He said he would get baptized next year. The preacher responded to him, "Next year?"
A line of people formed, and the man was walking into the water with his fine suit on.
He went into the water and was baptized. The preacher never saw him again, and doesn't know if he lived out the time to attend the next year.
You don't know the day, nor the hour, in which your life will be called by the Lord.
The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away.
Get baptized today! Don't put it off any longer.

A whole list of "I am's," are contained in the booklet.
Over 90 "I am," confessions, and you can add your own to the list.
The preacher reads some of his personal "I am's," from his book.
"I am not afraid when I put my trust in Jesus."
Like Popeye, and like David, who strengthened himself in the Lord.
Request your booklet from the ministry.
The text is posted on the ministry website.
This was an, "Equipping of the saints," sermon today.
Closing prayer in accordance with Numbers 6:24-26.
Jesus is coming soon. Between now and then you can be victorious in all that comes.
