SINGING PRAISE AND WORSHIP
John 21:16, "Feed My sheep." song one.
Feeding on God's word prayer, as we say, "Bless You Lord!"
We beseech Your blessings on us and this message today,
and please let these blessings abound across the land for the
gathered and extended congregation.
"On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand," song two.
"All other ground is sinking sand."
"Leaning On The Everlasting Arms," song three.
"Safe and secure from all alarms."
"Hold To God's Unchanging Hand," song four.
"Build your hope on things eternal."
Prayer for help of Your Holy Spirit, leaning on Your arms,
and standing on the Rock, we know it's time to hold on to Your
unchanging hand.
Stand up for this song.
"Standing On The Promises of God," song five.
That's where we stand, Amen.
Psalm 109 prayer introduced this year,
as this is the last sermon message of 2009.
This week was the darkest of the year, and the children of darkness politicians
have been busy doing their deeds of darkness.
"Getting More Faith," sermon series.

COMMUNION SUPPER EXHORTATION
When we are faithful in doing the little things, He will give us more.
The "In-crowd," is really the out-crowd.
We lay aside the cares of the world, as we come to the banquet table.
The privilege to dine, as we eat His flesh and drink His blood,
not forsaking the assembly, as we beseech Your blessings,
as we eat and drink together.
E-mail messages are not answered in a timely way,
as the many duties of the ministry take much of the preacher's time.
A question about a comment made from John 6,
where Jesus just stood on the truth.
"I am not concerned when I offend you with the truth,
but I am concerned when you are offended by the truth." said the preacher.
Jesus spoke the truth that ran the whole crowd away except 12, in John 6.
Be offended with those who are offended by the truth.
Jesus said, "Let the blind lead the blind."
If they are offended by the truth, then they are to be rooted out anyway.
Honor the prophet, or he will offend you.
In John 6, Jesus offended them.
"He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me and I in him."
"Many of His disciples withdrew.....you do not want to go away also, do you?"
Doctrine in the Catholic cult of transubstantiation is a counterfeit lie.
The transubstantiation comes in the change of the body that eats the bread.
Life is in the blood, and it changes your blood, as His bread changes your body.
Blessing prayers over the loaves of the saints, and grant us Your healing, renewal,
and all that comes from eating the flesh of the Lamb of God.
And we drink the cup that represents His blood, as it cleanses and purifies.

SERMON NOTES. December 27, 2009. "Standing On The Promises."
"Getting Greater Faith - Part Nine."
Review. Romans 4:20, "Yet, with respect to the promise of God,
he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God,"
"Standing On The Promises," is today's subtitle.
"Faith Foundation," was last week's subtitle.
Abraham stood on the promise from God.
It was hope against hope where he stood. Hope is a part of faith.
Deuteronomy 32 and an end time event.
The first step in getting faith is to get hope.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for.

Comments came in from others in the area of hope.
"My hope does not lie in me or in someone else."
"My hope is based on nothing else, than Jesus Christ and His righteousness."
Stand on that Rock, and don't lose hope.
Change comes in the land when a man stands.
Abraham stood on the promise, and God stood by His promise.
"My inabilities are not going to be the source of my hopelessness,"
said the e-mail letter writer.
Base you hope upon God's word.
Warning about counterfeit teachings regarding faith.
When all looks hopeless,
remember your God excels in hopeless situations, reference the Red Sea.

Micah 4 prophesy, and understand the people of prophesy.
They have made a strategic error in their trap.
The DVD of the chinese warlord Sun Tzu, and the, "Art of War."
We excel when we become a people of faith.
The counterfeit teaching is to have faith in yourself, saying, "I can do it!"
Say, "I and God can do it!"
"God can do it without me and in spite of me."
The word, "Bigot," came from the saying, "By God!"
Call me a big-got, as I have a Big God!
God taught them to trust Him with these hopeless situations.
Chesty Pollard, the Marine Corps General,
knew about getting boxed in by the enemy.
Chinese warlord Sun Tzu said to never box your enemy in,
as he will stand and fight.
"We've got the enemy right where we want them, men! Fire in every direction."

Patriots had escape hatch methods, but nothing works but faith.
The whole land changes as men stand.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood against the Babylonian king's edict
Polycarp stood, even when threatened with wild beasts.
Then they prepared a fiery trial.
He said, "I can stand this fire."
Amen at the end of the finished prayer, and then they lit the fire.
Then they saw the miracle.
Hopeless situations and standing on His promise produces the miracles.
"We saw a miracle, as the fire took the shape of the ark,
and the body was in the middle, and a sacred odor, and his body wouldn't burn.
Then they ordered an executioner to stab him,
and the large quantity of blood pouring out of his chest stopped the fire."

Stand in faith.
When a man stands, the land changes.
The whole empire collapsed when the Christians stood on the promises of God.
When they say bow, you say no, as you stand on His promises.
Matthew 7, 24-27, "The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell-- and great was its fall."
The first sermon the preacher wrote on that section of scripture said,
"There will be storms."
There will be those who fall and go by the wayside,
because they did not act upon the word of God.
Stand on the Rock, and take action as doers of the word.
The others that don't get washed out
don't understand the, "Stand Command."
Believe and have hope in the word of God.
God is your co-pilot, but it is God and you,
as you stand on the truth of God's word and the promises.
God is the Pilot, and you are merely His helper.

Look at the hopeful in the unseen realm, and not the seen hopelessness.
Go beyond that to the unseen.
Deuteronomy 31:6, as Polycarp stood on this promise.
"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them,
for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you.
He will not fail you or forsake you."
Stand in the hope that God keeps His promise.
Just believing is not enough.
Exodus 6:8, "I will bring you to the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I will give it to you for a possession; I am the LORD.'"
Hebrews 11:32-33, "Obtained promises through faith."
Notice they obtained the promises.
"Obtaining the Promises," is a better subtitle.
Faith is one thing, but it also takes the promise.
The promises are in God's word.
Make sure they are promises given to you.
God's promises do not apply to non-Christians.
The faith only, sinner's prayer,
just accept Jesus as your personal Savior
and believe in your heart doctrine
is not written in the word of God.
Stand and obey the promise that is written in God's word.
You don't become a Christian,
unless you are obedient to the command in Acts 2:38.
When you get a promise, read it out loud so you can hear it.
Then take action upon the word through your obedience.
Faith comes by hearing.
Be faithful to God in the little things, before the storms hit.

The A+ sermon said there will be storms that will come.
Obedience, have faith, hear the promises, and obey.
He uses something to get us to obey.
Satan uses these as questions in the minds of the saints.
Hebrews 2:18 and Hebrews 5:8.
For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered,
He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.
Our obedience comes through our suffering.
Your High Priest knows because He has been there, Amen!
Suffering and sorrows bring you strength down the road.
Hebrews 11:34, "Quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight."
Illustration of a couple losing everything in an unjust court decision.
"Sometimes God puts us in a place where we just have to trust in Him."
Your suffering may help to strengthen others.
1 Peter 5:8, and the Satanic attacks, as evil will come against you.
"Firm in your faith......suffered for a little while.....establish you."
Suffering is sometimes perfecting you.

The key faith ingredient points were reviewed and yet another ingredient.
Patience is the way of obtaining promises.
Hebrews 6;12, "Full assurance of hope....through faith and patience inherit the promises."
Abraham was patient and he waited, and waited, and waited,
with hope against hope,
and he obtained the promise from God. God always keeps His word.
The preacher has been known not to be, "Patient Pete."
Love, joy, peace, patience.
This is an area we don't repent of.
Galatians 5:22, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness."
A recent snowy weather event on Hwy 287,
and it was closed, and I-80 was closed also.
"Just wait!" was what the Spirit told the preacher.
The preacher didn't listen, and tried to go another way to get back to the ranch.
The detour was in vain and put the preacher in more of a time constraint.
Richard is a patient man, as he has nine children.
You have heard of the expression, "I've got to make up time."
Do you think God can make up time?
He made it, and we must learn to be patient in the situation we are in.
Some healings take time and patience, as God wants you to learn as you suffer.
Can you be a better Christian? Can you be a better pastor?
Be as patient with your flock as God has been with you.
You will be judged as you judge.
You take the promise by faith, and be willing to suffer as need be, while patient.

Endurance comes with patience and suffering.
The endurance of Job.
James 5:11, "We count those blessed who endured.
You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord's dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful."
James 1:2-4, "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
And let endurance have its perfect result,
so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
Endurance and patience go hand in hand.

Understanding the standing on the promises possibility.
Matthew 19:26, "We count those blessed who endured.
You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord's dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful."
Hebrews 6:18, "It is impossible for God to lie."
Once you understand God's impossibilities, take the truth and promise of God's word.
Take a promise that God has given you in His word.
Stand on it, as God is not going to lie.
He is going to keep His word.
Stand on the solid Rock.
Stand firm and never fold, as your faith will bloom and blossom.
Stand on the promise in hope.
Some stand on the promise, hoping He doesn't keep His promise.
God said you will reap what you sow, and many hope this will not come to pass.
You will have holes in your pockets if you rob Him.
Haggai 1:6, "You have sown much, but harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes."
A man made many millions in his life, but it always disappeared.
He always lost his money because he never tithed.
In the year 2010, give Him the 10th, as in Malachi 3:4-5 and 3:10.
God said, "Test Me."

There is a change coming, because men and women are stepping up and saying,
"I am standing right here on the promises of God."
They have plugged up all the escape hatch holes, so now we stand.
Your impossiblities are made possible through the promises of God,
as it is impossible for our God to lie.
Hebrews 6:18, "So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us."

"Standing On The Promises Of God, " was the closing song.
"Standing on the promises of Christ my Savior."
Closing prayer in accordance with Numbers 6:24-26.
